how much does a teeth implant cost? what are the averages? if you have it, was it painful when putting it in.? any word on this would be helpful! thanks!

any other options other than an implant? my teeth are messed up. i have an impacted tooth and the dentist wants to remove it and put in an implant.

mine came to $2400 . for one . $125 for extraction , $1000 for implant and healing cap , balance for crown . Mine came out great , if it wasnt so costly I would do another . One more thing , it takes almost a year to do one . These prices are US(Louisiana) .

Depends. Shop around.

I have no insurance so I go to my local dental school to keep costs down.

I'm trying to figure how to pay this by using flex-medical spending account.

one of my molar was removed and i can either do a bridge (covered by insurance) or implant (not covered by insurance)

implant is much better, so that is the route i'm going with.

it takes a long time because the oral surgeon will have to do a little work at a time and wait for the gum to heal before going to the next step.

I'd suggest a crown. I had one bad tooth which was at risk of needing an implant. However, I ended up goign to an ortho-dentist and he fixed it, which allowed me to get a crown instead of implant. Final price ($700 for root canal and $1200 for the crown). Out of that insurance covered $1300, so it wasn't too bad.

but implant would only be a bit more, and you'll have to pull out the bad tooth and then have it done by the oral surgeon instead of the dentist (who'd love to do crowns instead of sending their patients to an oral surgeon).

this depends on your insurance too.

it takes a freakin year to do ONE? why so long?

That does seem long, I always thought 6-8 months was the average time for the implant to heal 😕
