How much is a ticket for running a stop sign?

I got one last night from a conservation officer and he said he wasn't sure how much it was, but gave me a number to call. It's the clerk's office so I can't find out until tomorrow... I'm sure it's different in other states but anyone got an idea?

BTW my record was clean, never been pulled over and he gives me a ticket 🙁

Depends on where it is... at least in California...

I got a ticket for a rolling stop in LA... it was $270...

My friend got a ticket for the same thing by the san gabriel mountains and it was $150.

I think mine was $85 in Indiana (Grant County). $10 was the "fine," $75 was the court costs. Court costs may vary by county.

You have to start somewhere. 🙂 Check and see if you get points for the ticket. If you do, go to court and asked for a deferred judgement. You'll pay the fine and if you don't get another ticket for 6 months, it doesn't go on your record.

I got a ticket for doing 47 in a 35 rolling out of JPL two weeks ago. At least he only gave me a warning for not having my insurance card. You have to wait 21 days around here before it's in the system and you can call to find out what the bail is. I have a feeling the bail is going to throw my budget off this month.

BTW, first moving violation in 18 years. NOt bad for a senile old fart, eh? 😛

Hmm wait a second you did break the law. Maybe next time you should not run a stop sign.

Nowhere did I say I didn't deserve the ticket  Just disappointed he didn't cut me any slack.
