The stuff that I drink would be at least $7, and usually more. But I don't drink pisswater beer.

What is the proper way?

You pour out about 2 thirds, leave it to settle for about 3 minutes then when it's as black as the nights sky you slowly add the last third, with a medium head, possibly finish it off with a clover in the head.

Great way to describe it.

I am in the same boat, but my post was based on the average beer that most places would have on tap.

In the US, correct me if i'm wrong, a lot of the price of alcohol depends on which state you are in. I'm in CT which has rather high prices. $2-3 for cheap domestic, $4-7 for craft or imported beers.

I'm not old enough to go to a bar and ask for a pint yet.

Interesting, I rarely drink that tar anyway. Sometimes if it's real cold and I feel like something super bitter...

Well when you are old enough, you don't "ask" you walk in punch your big man fist on the bar and shout "DRINK!"

In all honestly, If I lived in America I wouldn't drink it either, it tastes quite different over this side of the pond. That being said based on some people in this thread, it may be entirely about where you buy it from. I did have one nice pint of it in a boston irish bar called the black rose.

Yeah but I never get that stuff so I don't really know what the range is.

Lately I've been on a Kriek Ale kick. Couple local breweries that do a really good one.

I was really disappointed when I went to my favorite pub last night to find out they are out of my favorite brew 'Old Rasputin'. I tried Stone's Russia Imperial, but it was just nowhere close to the same.

First my favorite IPA stops selling in my state, now my favorite pub stops selling my favorite beer.

I've had that, it's good.

They have Old Rasputin on tap here in town at the Holy Grail. It's epic <3 It's not even all that expensive considering the incredible quality and ABV.

$3 at happy hour is the cheapest I've seen here, average $6-8, up to $11 I imagine in the more expensive places. Thieving bastards.
