I have an Epson "clogmaster" printer so I have to clean the print heads pretty often. The utility says it wastes ink, so how much ink does this waste?

My Epson Stylus Color 880 rarely has head clogging problems, though that might be because I print in both black&white and color multiple times per week. I have no idea how much it wastes, either, but would be curious to know.

I went through darn near half of my ink carts trying to unclog the heads on my Clogmaster Stylus 820 last year. That was probably 12-15 cleaning cycles. They still din't unclog. I called Epson and RMAd the POS. Now I've got a new one and I "test-print" at leat once per week to try and keep the heads clean. It still clogs occaisionally. :(

are you using cheap refill inks, or refilling your own? I had the same problems when I bought the "bargin" 3 dollar computer swapmeet ink carts :)

Nope, I'm using real Epson retail ink carts. I print photos with this and am not willing to scrimp on ink and paper quality.

nice to know that I am not the only one with Epson ink problems.
Clogmaster fits it perfectly.
