How much I drove in 2014

Kinda cool to see the numbers. 🙂

Date: 01/02/2014 to 01/01/2015

Driver: Gil
Vehicle: Ford F-150 XL

Business distance: 0.0 Miles
Personal distance: 18.7 Miles
Commute distance: 3,320.1 Miles
Other: 3,977.4 Miles

Total Distance: 7,316.1 Miles

I put roughly 11,500 on my daily driver, and 2,650 on the Trans Am. Didn't drive the TA since the end of August because of clutch issues...

Bah... I put 5700 on the truck. Wife's car got maybe 6k, Spyder only did about 3500 this year.

Only about 1k on the truck was work related. The rest was local/towing/only when not using the wife's car.

So yeah... gas prices don't impact me all that much. Working from home and usually renting a car for business trips keeps me from putting too much wear and tear on a vehicle in a year. Anyone want first dibs on my truck at year 13 to 15? Should only have about 80k miles by then. 😛

Bought my car end of January 2014, and as of yesterday I had 13,700 miles on it. I think I did 1400 or so miles the month of January on the truck before it got totaled.

This is for only one vehicle I drove. It also doesn't include some fuel logs because my car was stolen. (And I kept fuel logs on paper in the car until my car was stolen)

I probably drove about ~22k miles this year (I drove 3 different vehicles). That's high considering I don't have a daily commute (I used to live 2 blocks from work and school when I did have a job and went to school) and haven't actually driven more than 1,000 miles with my car in the last 3 months.

I've averaged just under 15K miles per year on my car (2012 Ford Focus) but since I spend about 85% of the time in a rental car and average about 20K miles per year in them my total is about 35K/year.

My average mpg in my Focus is 38.7mpg. I'd guess my rental car average is more like 27mpg.

I get the same info from my Fuelly report.

I think I put about 20K last year ~11K commuting, ~3K on SC road trip, ~3K combined on other smaller road trips (multiple trips to MI and WI). And then like ~3k for getting around locally.

I get about 25mpg usually, though on road trips/open highway its closer to 27.

2013 numbers are alittle off as I missed from the latter half of jan 2013 to mid march, probably 8 fill ups.

I drove about 16,000 miles in 2014...and I work from home. So 90% of those miles at least were shuffling kids to and from school and sporting events. Only one roadtrip of any substance, probably 1,200 miles total.

However, since November it's only been 780 miles so I'm hoping things will slow down a bit from here.

Did around 40k mi on the company vehicle. Hate it, but would say at least 75% was during a normal 8 hour shift, so not wasting too much of my time. Really hope we have self driving cars in the next decade though. At least on the highway.
