How much have you spent on Steam?

I decided to do a tally of all my Steam purchases this morning, and the grand total is $783.45 since March of 2008. On top of that I've spent $33.97 in gifts. That's not really too bad. About $200 per year for gaming outside of the occasional console game I pick up.

What about you? How much have you spent on Steam?

I dont know how much my account is actually worth, but steamcalculator.com says my account is worth $905.34

http://www.steamcalculator.com/id/old%252dschool%2dplayer

But, steamcalculator says Fallout New Vegas is worth $49.99, I only paid something like $12 for it during a direct2drive sale.

Some of my steam games were bought at retail outlets that put the game on sale, then registered on steam. When left 4 dead came out, I waited for the first sale to buy it for my son. Best buy was the first place to have it on sale - $10 off, so that is where I bought it from.

Out of the majority of my games, only a few were bought at full price. I usually buy the bulk of my games during the midweek madness, weekend sales and the christmas - new year sales.

FYI you can get the real totals off your steam profile page. I just moved the data from my Steam page into Excel to see the exact amount I spent rather than the "value."

I'll have to wait until I get home to get a dollar total.

But on a similar note, what's the size of your Steamapps folder? There's a really old thread that started that discussion and as I recall, there was someone up in the 150GB range back in the day (I was way under that when the thread was active). But I passed that mark well before this past year's Christmas sale and I am by no means a hard core gamer. These intermittent Steam sales are killing me. I'm a sucker for even half decent games as long as the price is under $10 (at which point it becomes a total impulse buy for me).

1) Go to store.steampowered.com.
2) Log in.
3) Go to account > account details > store transactions.
4) Click "see all" to expand the full list.
5) Copy and paste the contents into a text file.
6) Reformat the text file with some kind of delimiter (I used a macro in Textpad to do this).
7) Open the delimited file in Excel and use autosum to get your total cost.

I usually un-install games that I've completed and know I won't replay in the near future. It keeps the size of my steam apps folder down, but currently it's 85GB.

I see. Unfortunately it only goes back to 24 Dec 2007.

Since then, I've spent $539.72 on myself plus $12.48 in gift purchases. I only play counterstrike though so I dunno why I'm bothering to buy any other games.

It says $570.60. But that's counting BF:BC2 at $19.99, when I bought it at launch, it was $50. Same with FarCry2, Bioshock, COD:MW4, and doesn't even show TF2. So that counter is a bit skewed.

Approximately $800 the last time I checked (about two weeks ago, haven't bought new games on Steam since).

$571.93 over 58 purchases. I have around 120-130 games on my account.

Login to Steam, go to account details/store transactions, and copy the dollar amounts into Excel to get an accurate number.

Abotu $200 on this sale, and maybe $60 in the last few months, and $50 in 2009, when I bought ArmA II and didn't want to go out and look for a physical CD.

$17.29...

I've only just recently gotten back into PC gaming after about five years of taking a break. I've purchased BFBC2, Torchlight and Borderlands on sale since last December.
