Nothing. I buy my DVDs. What I don't want to keep, I sell.
How/Where do you sell 'em?
Usually at a yard sale the GF and her mom hold twice a year. We get between 5-8 bucks a peice
Any extra cost is validated by the fact that I never get an unplayable DVD
as was said, that's really not even applicable to netflix. i've gotten one unplayable dvd, i jumped on their site and the next day they sent me a new copy, and i sent the bad one back. they didn't even wait for me to send the bad one back, they just sent it off to me.
during the xmas season dvds weren't getting to me, they sent a new copy, no questions asked. i called the post office on my own (got tired of not getting dvds) when it got to be significant, i gave netflix the case number and they never questioned me once about lost dvds. great customer service.
i was buying 2+ dvds a week on super tuesday, the costs were just too much. i still buy if it's something i really enjoy, but otherwise i just rent. it also gives me the chance to watch stuff i didn't want to drop 20 bucks for but was interested in.
