dont tell me i shouldve gotten barton b/c i dont wanna overclock and w/o overclocking 2600 is faster....but lets say i DID overclock whats the norm speeds people can get with this chip? 200 mhz faster? i know nothing about how much this chip is ocable
 
I got up to 2.3 on mine, but it wasn't stable. I'd say the highest stable OC I got was 2.25@1.75V and that was pushing it

i have a question about amd chips--- if a 2600 is equal to a 2.08 then how do people say a 2500 can beat a pentium 2.5 and 2600 beats 2.6ghz and 2700 beats 2.7ghz

this cant be correct can it?


what is a amd athlon 2600's pentium equivilance
 
The Athlon executes more instructions per cycle, so a lower speed Athlon performs similarly overall to a 'higher' speed P4.
