Rom Manager, Set CPU, Chomp SMS, Better Keyboard, Astro File Manager Pro.

Sort of pisses me off that to manage some basic shit on Android, I have to rely on a developer to make a useable phone out of Android.

Example: Better Keyboard, why the hell can't Google buy it from the developer and include it with Android? Same with a decent file manager...

hummm $4 or so in the Market, $3 on LLP which isn't in the Market.

About $500'ish in the Apps store. I would buy more Market shit but I can't find what I'm looking for. Hopefully the Market will get about 100% better over the next year. If not I probably won't spend more than another $10 there.

I've spent around twenty dollars. What's great is how much free (like the widget app) or ad supported stuff is out there.

I've spent maybe $15-20 in the Apple App store. I have about 125 apps total.

Nothing. Haven't even downloaded a free App.

Haven't had time to really play around with anything yet. ;)

Rom Manager, Astro Pro, SetCPU, Paycheck, HTML Cheatsheet, and two tech reference books. Thought about buying Swiftkey, as its a multitouch virtual keyboard, but unfortunately, it over writes settings on the hardware keyboard, so fail.

I'm surprised all those apps only take up 135mb of space. My iTunes tells me that my apps are 2GB+

Device: Samsung Galaxy S(last sync 17 sec ago)

Apps: 60 total, 34 free (56%), 26 paid (43%)

Total Size: 94MB

Total price (currently): $78.16

They have to make the apps as tiny as possible, well pre 2.2 any ways. My Droid 1 had about 185 megs of space free when I got it. 1/2 of my apps don't install by default to my SD card, and a decent number won't allow me to use app2sd. And the ones that will, about 40% seem to crap out and not run when put on an sd card. If the developers don't get their shit together and start letting their apps be installed on an SDcard I'll be out of space by years end. 185 megs ain't much to work with.

I have 27 apps. Only ones i've paid for are games. Tiger Woods Golf, Sim City, Real Soccer 2010, The Simpsons Arcade game and Civ Revolutions. I think i paid like 99 cents or 1.99 for each. At least on itunes games go on sale every so often. I just subscirpe to an RSS feed that shows the bigger games when they go on sale.

Rest of my apps are free ones like pandora, ski report, mapquest.

Quite a bit. Most of the paid stuff is for customizing or looks. Some others like beyondpod. The most expensive app I have bought was firehouse scheduler at $7 but it is more than worth the price. I haven't found another app on any platform that can do my screwed up schedule.

Hopefully this will put the 'No apps for BlackBerry' nonsense to rest.

Note that I have at least six apps not downloaded or purchased from App World. These are BeeJive, WhatsApp, Opera Mini, Google Maps, Telmap Navigator and Antenna Meter.
