How much Hard Drive Storage do you have (HOME ONLY)?

I just upgraded my drives and was wonering what kind of storage everyone else has.

If you've got 2x250GB in RAID 1, please count it as 250GB in each of the polls and not 500GB.

I've had so much extra storage for the past couple years that I find myself buying hard drives simply to upgrade performance ... the extra storage is secondary, as I already have more than enough for my meager 50GB of MP3s and other stuff. The size of current drives just leads me to do stupid things like leave 15 DVD images sitting around.

I have 3.2tb of RAID 5 storage on my storage server. The other file server has 250gb in RAID 1. The workstations have 200gb drives that typically have about 20gb used.

Hopefully, my new server will be close to 5tb.

I have a 40Gb for my OS and games, then a 80 for music/pictures/movies/porn. I use half of each so total i have just 60gigs used. Then I have a 80Gig HD in my laptop so 200Gb total on my network

You have to ask? It's called "empornium".

Finally, now you can keep a full archive of "other fetish".

1x120GB IDE and a 1x160GB IDE.

the 120GB is seperated into a 70GB and a 40GB partitions, the latter being used for downloads and stuff like that. the 70GB is for OS, games, apps, and the like. the 160GB is completely dedicated to cd/dvd images, pictures, and mp3s.

now i have approximately 100GB free out of 280GB total.

Two 120GB WD Drives on my main pc ... 1st is in use all the time for os, apps & data
2nd is just a place to store a Ghost Image and duplicates of important data files

2x36GB Raptor on RAID0 on my primary, 200GB Seagate IDE. It's a comfortable number for my usage, I'm not desperate for space but I'm also careful on what I store. I'd love to have the space to rip my DVDs to my HDDs, but what limits me is my case and not wanting to add more drives due to heat.

My main system is 1x100GB + 1x250GB + 1x80GB (FireWire).

I'm into photos/video. Not enough to need a dedicated editing rig, but I do need the space. 🙂

Main hard drive is a 160GB 7200RPM Samsung. There's a 50GB partition for the OS, apps, games. The rest is for photos, videos, music. That's supplemented by an older 40GB Western Digital drive. I use an external 200GB Samsung drive for backups.

Video storage. I rip all my DVDs so that I can watch them using the HTPCs around the house.

Same here. I have Windows MCE and My Movies add-on. It's nice. You don't have to look for the disc and kids (nieces and nephews) don't scratch and ruin them.

my main computer has all my stuff on it, well all my important stuff. i have a 250gb maxtor diamond max 16mb cache drive for that. my network server is mainly for dhcp, so i just has a meager 20gb drive in it for network access by everyone.

That's my theory, too.

I am running just over 2TB in my main rig right now. I'll probably invest in a separate file server soon, though.
