how much for my laptop?

I want to sell my laptop but I dont know how much I should sell it for. Please tell me what a good price is.
Its been a little over a year and the laptop is still in great shape. I barely used it. There are small blemishes on the silver lid due to it rubbing up against a textbook I accidently put next to it in my bag and the silver finish on the bottom has some scratches from normal use.

here are the basic features

Compaq 2800t P4-M 1.4 ghz
256mb ddr pc2100 2 sticks
ati radeon mobility 32mb ddr dedicated
30gig hdd
15" sxga+ screen
usb 2.0
Windows XP home

maybe a little more since it has a nice screen, a P4-M CPU, extra memory, a relatively large hard drive and no intel xtreme graphics.

however always note that people are constantly trying to rip you off.

to somebody trying to maybe buy it on here expect answers between 400-600....what its really worth...im going to go $650-700

You can buy a brand new Toshiba 2.0 GHz Celeron notebook with integrated wireless LAN, 256MB RAM, 15" TFT and DVD drive for a little under $1000.

Might be streching it a bit at $700.
