How much for groceries?

dxkj

Lifer
How much should 2 people spend on groceries in a month?

Both work full time, ~ 10-11 /hr

One is 6'2 215lbs the other 5'4 110.

Im trying to come up with an estimate for a budget, but just wandered what others though. I guessed around 250. I am still in college part time, working full time.

Depends on how much you eat at home. I spend around 150 a payday (every 15 days) for me and my woman. We do a fair share of eating out, but we definately could eat in on that amount.

I figure anywhere from 300-500 a month as long as you don't buy expensive stuff and coupon clip 🙂

Depends on a number of things. How many dinners are you going to prepare per week? Do you pack lunches for work or eat out? I would budget between $300 and $400 per month, but that may be on the high side.

EDIT: Doh, posted too slow.

Personally, my wife and I easily spend less than $250 on strictly groceries (eats). Things like soaps, cleaners and laundry detergent, etc.. are what really hurt.

$250 per month is about what the wife and I spend. Often there are weeks that are less than $50, but other weeks are right around $100.
