How much faster is a Raptor than a SATA 7200RPM 8MB drive?

I guess the topic says it... which is faster, and is it worth the price for the Raptor? Only reason I ask is because I'm taking my two SATA drives OUT of RAID 0 (already lost a bunch of data...), but I'd like to have fast loadup for games and the like. It's not horrendously important, but since there seems to be a consensus now that RAID 0 isn't *that* great, I wonder if I should just keep my two 7200RPM SATA drives, or buy the Raptor and sell one of them.

What do you think?

I hate to be blunt, but do a search on "Raptor"

That should bring up enough thread to keep to you busy for a while.

The Raptor isn't generally worth it's money; that seems to the consensus, & i think i'd agree.
However, i have one anyway, & while i don't necessarily recommend it to everyone, if the rest of your system is already damn fast, you may as well go for one if you can afford it, since it does speed things up a bit.
