how much extra does a 4.3ghz FX-8xxx at 1.3v use at idle than when CnQ is enabled?

I can't enable CnQ AND keep overclock through suspend. I think the LLC kicks in too late after the CPU ramps leading to reboots and hard locks, so right now I'm just 4.3ghz @1.3v all the time.

I don't have a killawatt.

I don't have a killawatt but since my temps don't really go up when I lock it that high (usually keep it at 1400-2800mhz unless I'm gaming) the temps don't really budge. Once a load is put on it, it jumps pretty quick. Unloaded cores at any clock, probably not that much.

that's a really good point. I guess another 15-20w during idle due to leakage isn't so bad

It isn't very much. I have mine connected to a Kill-o-Watt pretty much non stop. I see it bounce up and down, it isn't a huge difference until the cores are loaded.
