How much extra do you take out in taxes?

Time to update the tax forms at work if necessary/wanted and I'm wondering if I should take some extra out. I've always gotten a refund, never had to pay extra, so I don't really need to. I would just be doing it to have a bigger return the next year.

Do you take any extra out? Do you do it so you'll have to pay less or just so you'll get more back? What say you?

I used to claim single and 0 to get back a bigger refund. Last year though I went Married and 9, and had to pay a couple thousand. This year I think I have married and 4.

On a side note, since I've made a significant amount more this year than last, and I'm not a student anymore, there a chance I'll have to pay? I'm single with no dependants.
