make per capture? Like a percentage wise? I'm watching that episode where he brought in the guy who posted a 1million dollar bail.

Does he post bail for people then just goes after them if they don't show up at court?

I believe that's generally how bondsmen work, yeah. If the offender doesn't show up on their scheduled date, the bond is automatically forfeited to the court...I think they then use some of that money to pay the bounty hunter responsible for the offender's capture. That's all just a guess, though.

Also, I'm not sure if Dog is an actual bondsman or just a bounty hunter...I think he's a bondsman now, but originally started out working for other bondsmen as a hunter.

Yeah, that's how I think it works too. He's not just a bounty hunter, atleast anymore, as he's pretty much tracking down his own bonds now. So what ever he makes from posting bail for people is pretty much how he makes his money, besides the TV. Atleast that my thought on how that system works.
