How much does your car cost?

On average, counting gas+insurance+maintenance+tolls+registration... and stuff like that, how much does your car cost to own and operate each month?

229 for my Scion xB 😛 Awww - I thought this was about car payments - Um, I spend about 100-200 a month on gas - since I deliver pizzas. Insurance is 123 bucks a month. As far as maintenance, I just follow whatever my manual calls for - I don't usually do maintenance on a monthly basis.

Only drive it to and from work. Plus the occasional trip into town. Under 10 dollars a week for gas... more like 5 or 6.
Insurance for both vehicles is around 7 hundred. Full coverage on wife's car... liability only on mine. So, about 250 to 300 a year for insurance = 20 or 30 dollars a month. That puts me around $50 a month total. Maintenance: change the oil at about 4000 miles. That's not often - adds up to about 2 bucks a month. Rarely needs any other maintenance.
edit: forgot registration... add a couple bucks more on. It probably works out to a little over 50 instead of barely under 50.

$170 a month in insurance and about $50 in gas. No maintainance costs since it's still under warranty and I get free yearly service.

Insurance on each max is about $80/month, and another $150/month each on gas. Maintenance/repairs are negligible, so $201-350. Registration is about $100/year each.

I dont have car payments, insurance is 600/yr, and gas is nearly 50/week (1979 International Scout w/ 345ci V8)

and putting the soft top on it makes it allllll worth while.

Let's see...car was paid for in cash, insurance is $97 a month (I'm 20), I don't drive that much anymore so let's say $30 in gas per month on average, if that...once I got the car fixed up, there's basically no ongoing repairs needed, so I'm in the $101-200 category. Inspection adds like $1 extra ($12.50 per year), and registration is $40 or less per year.

for my 2004 GTO

About $200 in gas, and about $300/month for insurance.

Insurance might be $280, i have my 67 camaro on there too

for a 350Z i pay about $150 in gas/month, free scheduled maint from nissan for a year i think so i dont have to worry about that 😀

Don't forget depreciation and the interest charged against the balance of your loan 😉

That's part of the purchase price. Which isn't what this is about.

No, as both are irrecoverable, they are part of the opportunity costs of keeping the car.

The only situation where it wouldn't matter would be if Mommy and Daddy bought the car for you 😉

about 100/month for insurance, maybe $20 for gas (don't drive it much anymore). I have EZPass which my parents so lovingly take care of.
