I've been searching all over, and I can't seem to find anything that says how much it actually costs to take the A+ certification test. When I was registering for the CCNA, they told me the cost only after I had registered; the website for the testing centers in the area don't list any prices.

Cost for each test is 125.00 X 2 tests = 250 total for the tests + whatever testing material your going to buy to study for it.

I bought Sybexs total A+ certification textbook with a pre-study testing CDrom to show you where your weaknesses are and what chapters in the book cover them. cost at half.com used was $14.99. shipped.

Hope this helps ya.

If it's still valued, I will get mine before the end of the year. I think I could breeze through it looking at some of the material.

Course I don't mind anyone jumping in - I asked for help didn't I? :D
I've applied for a few computer jobs lately - some assembling PC's, one is a multi-pack of sorts, assembling PC's and providing user support for customers - one of the first things they ask for is A+ certification.
I'm looking for some kind of computer job now; would be nice to have income. ;):)

Wow, I have a knack for getting a score just barely below the required level.
On my CCNA (real test), I got 847/1000 points; 849/1000 required.
Just took the A+ SkillDrill at Brainbuzz.com. 3.5 is required; got 3.44. :p
Questions about SCSI kill me - I've never used a SCSI device, ever. Highest skill level is in Safety and Preventative Maintenance. Damn straight. :) Lowest is in printers. I've only ever used dot matrix and ink-jet at home.

Took total of 3 versions of the A+ Core Fundamentals Skilldrill test there at Brainbuzz. 3.44, 3.22, 3.33 were my scores. Can't stand these tests - so many of the questions seem to have many possible answers, so many, the correct choice isn't present (real world experience sometimes contradicts the tests)....but man, I don't know a damn thing about laser printers.
