Want to know how much a 10 client Advanced server cost and also, whats the difference between the reg. 2000 server and Advanced server?
 
I BELIEVE(not 100% positive) that 2000 Advanced Server costs $2,999.
Advanced Server supports:
8-way Symmetric Multi-Processor Support
8 GB Memory Support
Network Load Balancing
Latest Server Hardware
Cluster Service
Rolling Upgrade Support
Cluster Service Setup
Integrated Network Load Balancing Configuration
Cluster Administrator
etc.

The fewest client access licenses you can get with Advanced Server is 25 (I think). It costs about $3000. If you only need 10 CAL's then you definitely don't need Advanced Server.

Advanced Server supports 8 CPUS. Server supports 4.
Advanced Server supports 8GB RAM. Server supports 4.
Advanced Server supports clustering. Server does not.
Advanced Server supports 4-node load balancing. Server does not.

Advanced Server is aimed at the Enterprise user. Server is more appropriate for departmental or workgroup use.
