I think I am going to have to pay some "professionals" to crawl under my house and run wires.
How much have you all had to pay for this sort of service?

I don't know anybody who has paid to have it done, either you want it bad enough that you do it yourself or you don't care and do your best to hide the wiring along the baseboard. It's probably comparable to having an electrician pull wire for any other low voltage application, a phone jack, ethernet, cable TV. I'd toss out a number like $100 per run but it would really depend on the number of runs and where they are in the house.

I did it myself. Down in the crawl space, drilled up through the sill plates, strung CL2 speaker wire & coax up into the walls and put in wall plates with binding posts and RCA jack for a subwoofer run (monoprice). One afternoon and part of an evening.

If you have a basement or crawl space, I think it should be easy to do yourself.

If you have slab foundation and have to run wire from attic, then running wire down walls with appropriate snake is a little more involved.

Might be able to hire someone who installs security systems to do it for you as a side job.

It's really not all that hard to do. Unless you just don't have the time to mess with it...

The price will be dependant on how much time they spend on it. Electricians don't come cheap.

Find a low voltage install guy or a cable runner.

Can range anywhere from $20-$59 a drop depending who you get (a real company vs some poor schmo).

How do I find some poor schmo who wants to make some money on the side?
