Small 1 BR apartment, don't know how many square feet. I'd like the temp to be probably 75. And it will probably be running 24 hours, for sure all night.Originally posted by: cKGunslinger
Dude - there are too many variables here. Do you live in a 20,000 sqft mansion or a 600 sqft apartment? Do you like room temperature to be 64°F or 87°F? Do you live in Alaska or Arizona? Are you running in 24 hours a day, or only for the 3 hours you are there?
Yeah there's a high and low, so you pick the middle and say it's average.Originally posted by: cKGunslinger
Your question would be equally as useless if you had posted: "Hay guyz, I want to get a car - how much can I expect to spend on gas per month?"
That's cheap :QOriginally posted by: joshsquall
Assuming it runs at full capacity (560 watts for a Panasonic I found), that's 13.44 kWh per day or 403.2 per 30 day month. At 8 cents per kWh that's about $32.25 a month.

Everyone makes a big fuss about air conditioners using so much electricity, I thought it would cost more.
