How much does it cost to reface cabinets?

We have a medium sized kitchen, and are thinking about getting our cabinets refaced. Anyone know how much that usually costs? Also, what is the price difference between getting new cabinets and getting your old ones refaced?

I imagine the labor makes it ~ the same as new ones, but maybe a little less.

About 13 years ago my mom had her kitchen cabinets refaced for 10 grand. A few years ago my dad got a quote for 25, 000.

You could buy new doors, finish them and then refinish the cabinets to match. But none of the options are going to be cheap.
