I'm about to leave for Macy's to get my watch fitted for me. Dad just gave me his old Seiko Quartz Gold watch (was very expensive 20 years ago :) but it's starting to fade a bit) and it's a tad big for me. Thx in advance

If you go to a decent jewlery shop, go to one your mom or gf uses, they will do it for free.

the place where I bought my watch fit it for me, and will readjust it for me for free anytime. I doubt it'll cost very much, since it's not to hard for them to do usually.

To just take links out of the band and fit to your size? I think I paid like $5.00 to have that done at a watch place. It only takes a minute or so. Some places do it for free if they are in a good mood, or you have had something else done there.

Ditto. That's what it cost me to have a couple links removed from the band on one of mine.

hm... discomfort or lose 5$...

Just checked Macy's and a couple other jewerly stores... macy's wont do it unless i bought it from them and have proof (it's a 20 year old watch and i dont think my dad got it from them), and the other jewlery stores are 7.50$ and 10$

you can do it yourself. Something like a paper clip or a small nail to push the pins off.
For less than $10, they can do it for you.

Took mine to a local, hometown jeweler. The guy spent about ten minutes jacking away at the links in my watch, and actually broke one of his tools, but he still didn't charge me. I felt kinda bad, but he definitely has my business in the future. :)
