How much does it cost to fix a moderate crack in a windshield?

I'm looking at this car right now, and the seller says the only flaw is a crack in the windshield.

And in some states it's mandatory for insurance to replace it for free (safety issue)

otherwise I think it runs around 500 bucks.

Once a crack runs like that fixing it really isn't an option. As long as the crack does not interfere with the field of vision it should be fine to drive legally.

Depends on the state, some areas they're dicks about cracked windshields, other areas they don't care.
