How much does a remote car start kit + installation generally run?

walmart has one...don't know how long it takes to install, but you could do it yourself and save time...

I would say $175 to $400. As Adica said, it depends on brand, quality, and features.

Its not too hard but can only be done legally on an auto transmission vehicle.
If you're going to hook up an alarm with the remote start then you will need to open panels all over the car to get to the right wires. That is if you're going to do it yourself.

my friend works at an install place and installs tons of them, he says the average is around 200,

Stopped by Boomerz at lunch, they said roughly $225 - $250 with installation and a lifetime warranty. My brother has one and loves it. Time to start saving 😛
