How much does a missle cruiser cost? and how long does it take to build?

IIRC, Arleigh Burke class destroyers are in the $750m range. And I think they were building about 3 per year (but I believe they were building them faster than that previously).

nevermind rebuilding. all wiring and piping probably had to be taken back to a certain point to make sure it was safe/stable, which would mean alot of time, probably.

or maybe they just worked on it in the off-hours, overtime, that kind of thing 😉
 
They probably upgraded it as they went along. But the military over all has turned into one big welfare project for the big defense contractors in many ways..

but it does provide jobs, so in that I'm thankful. At least it's not welfare for just sitting on your ass...
