I'm thinking about shipping a bunch of CD's home...Now, I'm either gonna take them out of the cases and just ship them in those little paper cases

-or-

leave them in their jewel cases.

Anyhow, there's about 70 of them :)Q) so you can imagine that there might be a huge price difference in the shipping costs of each option.

Still though, if the difference isn't unbearable, I might want to keep them in the cases...

That said, does anyone know what a jewel case weighs?

If I remember correctly, 100 jewel cases is 11 lbs to ship, but I don't remember if that included cds or not.
So you would be looking at 7.7+ lbs which shouldn't cost too much, $10~12 to ship

About 3-4 oz. So 70 of them would weigh at least 13 pounds, probably around 15. That's a lot of weight for plastic.

Hmmm...so 13-15 pounds. Any idea how much the 140 cd's would be by themselves?
