Specifically for hepatitis c. Despite having zero risk factors for it im convinced i have it for some reason, and i made a doctor's appointment (for other stuff really) to get a test, but my sister says itll cost me a few hundred bucks. So if its that expensive ill just forget about it lol.

Call your local non-emergency center. They usually don't charge much, though you may have to wait while the more urgent cases are handled.

Apply for life insurance, a nurse will come out to take your blood. Just request the test results and decline the coverage when they send you the policy :)

You may also want to see a psychiatrist about your certainty you have it. I for example, am going to die from Nile Virus, I knew it the minute I heard it arrived in California.

Go to planned parenthood. Get an STD screening. For $40 they will test for Hep c.

I just recently had a checkup with a full bloodwork (whatever that means), anyway, got the bill (I have Aetna insurance), and the original bill was 285.

I owed 48 after insurance.

Your local health department may offer it at little or no cost.

I'll prolly end up just giving blood, that way I'll at least do something nice while ending my paranoia.

That will work, but IMO, it's a shitty way to go about finding out.
(cost to the blood bank)

How do you figure though? I have no hepatitis c so I'll just be giving blood lol. They do tests for everyone anyway.

didn't you say in the op you do have it? or at least are convinced you ahve it?

Yeah cuz I'm anal, universities are disgusting, and it's a really infectious virus with sometimes no known cause lol. Peace of mind type thing. I know I don't actually have it.

The STD screening at my university includes it (including a host of other diseases), IIRC it is less than $30 or free if you are a full time student.

You do know, I hope, that the certainty you have a disease is your imagination tied to your self hate. You sip data from the world and incorporate it into your feeling that you are too worthless to live. This allows you to objectify your fear, of a disease, that you can manage and care for. The floating free form sort of self hate is much more terrible to bear but you at least know what doctor to see.
