how much do you usualy tip the car wash places?

the places you drive in, hand them the keys, pay $10 then they clean outside, inside, etc.

This is in southern california
I tip around $1 or 2 usually

Yeah prices vary a lot even here. I'm happy with what I get for $95 though.

I don't, I do it myself. I'll even wash it by hand in the winter as long as it's above 32F...

we don't even have a car wash place within a half hour of where I live now.
never used one when I did live nearby. don't know why

$95 wow, a poor college student like me can't afford that. I spend a saturday evening detailing my car myself. :)

None... I do my own washing and detailing.

However, I would say $2 is just right, assuming they did an acceptable job.
