how much do you usually pay for CD's / DVD's?

I was wondering Im pretty sure that in the US you guys get raped on the cost of a cd or dvd, At least paying 1.5x more than i do in canada after exchange rates (from what i saw a year ago in san fran.) So im wondering for those people who actually pay for music and dvds what does it cost you down south ?

on average i pay no more than 14.99 for a cd and for dvds anywhere from 14.99 to 27.99 on average in canadian dollars.

Prices are lower in Canada than in the US. Commercial DVDs are much cheaper in China though, because of the differences in living standards, and probably because everyone buys bootlegs anyway there (at about US$1-2).

My cousin comes up from San Jose once every couple months, solely to buy DVDs up here in Canada.
They pay about the same price, only in US dollars.

As for CDs, those are going the way of the dodo, and fast. Until the RIAA get their heads outta there arses, I'm going to continue to download music, and attend live shows only.

DVDs are usually about $20 and CDs about $13-$14 at the best prices here in the US, although I do like to order things from Canada, because even if I have to pay shipping the prices are much lower with the conversion rate between US and Canadian dollars.
I use coupons on the Internet too, when I can, 10-20% coupons are pretty easy to find for some retailers.

sounds about the same as what i pay.. usually 19.99 and up for a dvd though... and i live right outside of DC.
