fvcker drives to my house he is getting $5. I don't care what the order minimum is.

If I order large, it's going to work out to 15% unless the food is late and cold. May not be his fault on this, but he would be the one going to the kitchen and bitching.

I used to deliver a long time ago...the pizza guys always got screwed. I did chinese and we averaged $2 per order (1990ish) with the quarter to fifty cents the restaurant threw in on each delivery...to get $0.50 though was not worth it.

We were paid $3 / hour.
 
$5.00 mimimum.
My time + gas to pick it up is worth much more than that!
(30+ min. Round trip, 1.5 Gal. gas @ $2.75)
 
I don't tip at all or even say thanks because I suffer from insecurities and feelings of financial inadequacy which stem from my pitifully small penis size, and it makes me feel superior to the delivery boy when I shove that $3.00 back in my pocket and slam the door in his face. Yea me!

I don't tip because I can do the job myself. They should be happy that they have some second rate job and get to drive around all day doing it instead of being stuck at a desk or some crap. Screw those greedy bastards.

Only kidding of course, everyone knows pizza delivery drivers don't have girlfriends.

to paraphase: I am too poor to tip well, yet I will express my right to say they were late, the food was cold, didn't address me by name, etc......whatever the total is just round it up to the nearest dollah! 😕

 
After the last pizza tipping thread I now tip nothing. I then call their boss if they give me a funny look and complain about the service.

well, you said pizza, but I am thinking you mean any delivery driver...I had a few co-pilots that were hot enough in the 90's to have me swerve off-road.

I can only imagine now.

I married one of them, it lasted a great 4.5 years until problems caused me to divorce her.

Yeah we're really greedy bastards when we have to bring our cars in for $1,500 dollar repairs due to thousands of stop-and-go miles we put on each month that we HAVE to fix or we can't go back to work and do the 3rd most dangerous job in the United States so that we starve and die.

No JEDI sound reasonable for tips in my small town. Considering our pizza places are only 20-30 blocks away.
 
It's funny to see people complain about "greedy" delivery drivers...even though they don't make nearly as much as waitresses or bartenders who do just as simple of a job without having to shell out a bunch of money on a vehicle to keep it running.

It really is quite a service that drivers take the time to memorize the entire area (I cover 2 cities that are roughly 40,000 and 20,000 people and are pretty spread out).

Bartenders have to memorize how to make thousands of drinks which is a lot harder to do than memorize some locations. On top of that, they have to pay for their own schooling to become a bartender.
