always at least 5 bucks...i used to do that job and I hated small tips...the plus is that I always order from the same place so the delivery guys know me, and they hurry up and get it here...quicker the deliver=bigger tip

I usually tip him, 2 dollar bills above the the price. IE, if the pizza is 14.63 I will give him 16. If its 9.87 I'll give him 11. If its 13.01, I'll give 15. Of course when the weather sucks, or its cold out during winter, I usually give a buck more.

If they charge extra for delivery, nothing. If the driver is rude or rude looking, nothing. If they are nice and delivery is free ~$1. I never get it delived though because I had a bad experience from one who stole $4 from me.

I keep my tips to a minimum, considering both the pizza places I order from are within probably 10 blocks. If I knew how much they were paid for their efforts/gas/etc I might scale my tips up or down. I don't consider them the same as servers in restaurants (I could be led to believe otherwise) because all they're doing is picking up a box at Point A and driving to Point B. A server would travel back and forth between Point A and Point B several times filling my drink, making sure everything was O.K.

I hate the idea of tipping at a chinese buffet, just because the cute asian girl brought me a pop or two! ARRGH!

You know the ones that have a look on their face like you are stealing their time.

Do you who say "nothing" realize that your next pizza gets special care?

We've got those before...

*sigh + eyeroll* that will be $12.56 sir *sigh*

Even worse when you tip them 3 or 4 bucks and they don't even say thanks.

$2-4, or 10% percent, whichever is greater, is considered normal by the insiders of the industry. ;)

I usually do $2 plus the change thats left over (ie. if it's 17.60 i give him a 20). Some of you guys are big tippers. I'm impressed.

I have NEVER had that happen to me. Are they delivering in 50+ inches of snow or something?
