How much do you think this stereo receiver is worth?

Holy cow that's a late 70's/80's model receiver. It's not worth that much now, but if you hold on to it, it might be worth a lot later especially since it's excellent condition!

It's worth a little more than what you paid for it.. probably $20-$40 unless somehow it is some "rare and highly prized" model, which it is probably not.

But that doesn't mean it's a bad receiver - just that anything that isn't digital these days isn't worth much of anything.

Edit: I take that back - if you can find a buyer, there are a few listings online that have that model worth anywhere from $150-$300. However, "IF YOU CAN FIND A BUYER" is the key phrase there. Not many people are into stereo these days.

There is currently one on ebay with 22 hours left going for $50, and another one with a starting price of $270 with no bids. Keep an eye on these two units and see what they go for.

Honestly, unless this receiver really floats your boat - if you can get $100+ for it I'd sell it...

Hehehe. Neither.
I wasn't dissing it. Those solid state receivers are much better than the crap they put on the market today... I would estimate that it has a street value of about $20 because it works. I would estimate that it has a owner value of about $50-75.

The only reason the street value is low is because you can find old people or estate sales selling these every now and again. 😉

I know you weren't.

Yeah, because of people like me who get them for free. 🙂

Some of the old receivers are really good. I have a Nakamichi TA-2A

I have not heard it's equal for music in the latest units. What's it worth? Dunno, but it seemingly cannot be replaced.
