According to the site, I'm underpaid $20k - $30k.

I don't know whether to laugh at how ridiculous I think this estimate may be, or cry because I have a nagging suspicion that it may be at least partly right.

OP - I live in the same general area as you and am in the same general field - based off of your current job description and time worked I would value you at about $25k at that job. You should be happy with $30k. If you aren't, then you'll need to move into something more specialized where you can really use your degree. You've salary capped in your position.

The median expected salary for a typical Help Desk Support, Sr. in WI 53186, is $51,222. Heh. Tell that to my boxx that says we are getting paid the industry standard at around 35k. While I don't think it's 51k, I think more like low 40s would be better.

Seems pretty accurate for Software Engineering jobs.
Based on the Salary.Com job descriptions, I'm a Software Engineer II.
Results for my area are:

25th% - 55k
Median - 61k
75th% - 69k

The range for my position at my company is roughly 50k - 72k

I spoke with a company about a VB/SQL Developer position in Seattle and they were paying around 62k. I told them I wasn't interested because of the higher cost of living there.
