...to fix the rear bumper of a ford explorer xls. i hit one today, from the rear and there was a tear in the bumper of the explorer about 3 inches in length, i figure that it wouldn't be able to be repaired and would probably have to be released. Do you think it will exceed 1000?

Now adays with todays bumper skins and paint and all the useless $h!t they put on em.. sadly yes... I remember ripping my step bumper off on my 79 while 4x4'n.. $75 later I had a brand new one 😀 ahh the good ol days of real vehicles

300 bucks would prolly be a closer estimate... you can get a used one from www.car-parts.com and have it refinished and put on for cheap. If you can wait till tomorrow I can give you some exact times and prices.

Sounds like he hit someone else's Explorer, in which case I doubt they'll settle for a used bumper being installed on their car.
