Always thought it would be nice to have an indoor pool in my house... How much do ya'll think it would cost? And would the water bill be through the roof? Is there "pool owners insurance"? Im very curious. Thanks.

Inground pools run anywhere from $15,000 to $1,000,000. Figure about $20,000 to build a roof over it and about $50-$100 a month for chemicals and stuff.

Insurance wise, you would just need to put higher limits on your insurance, maybe $100-$200 a year for the extra premiums.

I suggest just getting one of those lap pools (the ones where its not too deep but allows you to swim back and forth for exercise. The cost is much lower in all facets of owning it.

I'd suggest just calling a pool place. Talk to them before talking to the retards on Anandtech =)

I delievered pizza to this house once that had a pool in the living room. The guy showed me how it had a hard cover that could slide over it so that he can hide it when he wanted. That's definitly the coolest thing I have seen ;)

I'm going to start saving now so I can have a pool with a hard cover under my couch in the living room.

I'll be installing an indoor pool this winter.... I didn't think it would cost too much at all. I'm just going to stick a 12 foot diameter, 3 feet deep pool in my basement :) (need it for my koi, etc.)
