Just wondering how much of your paychecks go on pc stuff every year, and how do you feel every time you blow a grand every time you make a new pc because your 6 mon. old one isn't fast anymore???

I've never blown a grand on computer parts at one time. I just keep upgrading a part here and there. Keeps the computer up-to-date and it isn't that much out of my pocket at once.

Last year I spent all of $100 for a new HDD to replace a dying one. This year I've spent nearly $700 for new parts.

one thing I promise not to upgrade would be anymore video cards, seeing is games don't take the advantage that manufacturers say they do...

manufactures have the tendency to fill up pages and pages of what the card can do from the previous model, and then when playing the game, your like "this is it?!?!" in most cases...

I spend almost all the money I make per year (all $2000 of it) on computer parts. Being in high school and living with my parents, there's not much else to spend it on:p

it's not that bad if you just keep upgrading it, 100 here, 60 there, 130 for that...

but if you want and blow it all at once, it feels like alot ^_^
