Only post here if you are doing laundry through coin-op or drop-off service.

I'm paying like 40 a month give or take, for drop off service. We don't have laundry in our building so I have to take it to the laundry center. I got into the habbit of dropping off, but have now switched back to coin-op. It's 2$ per load, and i think $0.25 per 7 minutes.

Utilities included in my rent :D

I don't dry clean or press my shirts, I just go in lookign scrubby with droopy collars and wrinkly shirts. My bosses boss said to me one day "you don't iron do you?" I was like <_< "no..."

i pay $.75 for a wash, $.25 for a dry.

i usually do like 4 loads of laundry every 3 weeks or so, so average about $5 or so a month + the soap.

i do dry cleaning for my work clothes however, which is about $30/mo or so.

I was using a drop-off service for a couple months... $1/pound, typically ended up being about $40/month.

nowadays I do my own laundry. I'd love to just drop off my button-down shirts because they iron them so much nicer than I do, but I wouldn't meet the minimum weight unless I only took them in once/month

$1.50 for wash and dry in my building. $3x 1 load a week = about 16 bucks a month, including dryer sheets and detergent

$0. I put in the coins and they fall out back into my hands. Obviously at one time they charged for laundry in my building, but now it's free. You still need to put quarters in the machine, but you get them all back.

I'm breaking all the rules and posting even though I Don't use a coin op or drop off service. (I use the washer/dryer in my utility room in the basement.)

When I was in college, and I used coin operated machines like 10-12 years ago, It wasn't that expensive, was like 50 cents or a buck to run the machines...

Maybe $50 on dry clean and $20 on laundry machines. Seems like a lot now that I think about it.

Lets see, I bought Washer dryer for ~ 1800, with 5 year warranty. So lets say its life is 5 years. So by simplest of math...

1800/(5x12) = $30 + $2 (Soap and softener) So about $32

for 2 of us it was about 20 per 2 weeks, last month it was really expensive, about 300/2 weeks. but now its almost free, just electricity and water. and i even get a rebate from the electric company for the energy star washer.
