Last year:
$6700 on traveling
$7600 on phone, camera, computer and other fun stuff.

In the last 22 months I've spent over $20K+ on camera gear but since I expect that kit to do me for 6-8 years the per year cost is more like $3K. Of course, that's doesn't count the travel costs for photo trips and that's another $2K+ per year.

I bought a new telescope last year and with all the things that go with it the total was/is about $5K. Sadly, since I'm on the road most of the time I don't get much opportunity to break out the scope as I really need to pack it in the car to get away from the city light bubble for any serious use.

I don't really count my PC expenses as there's a use beyond any hobbies, but if I did...

I spend as much as I can on my hobbies, after paying all bills, and funding savings, retirement, and investment accounts. I don't bother to keep track of it. Can't take it with me when I'm gone...

Man, it's tough trying to take a pic while maintaining the optimum speed in traffic! You have to have incredible discipline, patience, and constantly predict traffic patterns to maintain that kind of pace.

> 25k is a comedy option? Haha.

This was ~20k alone, which doesn't include the mods or the trailer or truck to tow it/camp in.

At least you didn't accidentally take a pic in the perfect angle that the sun exposed a bunch of dust when trying to show off 360 degree cameras that can pan/zoom! Embarrassing ;)

Don't forget tools and repairs. It is a polaris, you are going to need a lot of tools. :awe:

Uh oh......Can Am fanboy? :p

I only ride snowmobiles, so it would be ski-doo, but even those are meh (the new factory 174" sled has my attention however).

Polaris has the worst snowmobile engines in the entire industry, it is amazing that their customers are still around. No wonder they bought Klim clothing - polaris needs to keep their snowmobile riders alive after a blown engine long enough to get them out of the backcountry and sell them a new snowmobile.

I myself prefer Yamaha turbo 4 strokes myself.

Well...just dropped $3k for 3 hours of flying in a wind tunnel. My $0 credit card balance is no more.

A grand or two a year on average?

I've slowly been taking up photography of all sorts: got a $3k infrared camera last year, want to get a $2k full frame visible light camera right now.

about $3k in the last year on computer/headphone/smoking accessories.

honest Q what do you consider what you spend on chiba itself?

When I smoked I considered it a hobby that made my other hobbies more enjoyable.

Now for current married guy hobbies I refuse to print the number for fear my wife would see it :p
