How much do you spend on clothes? NOW WITH POLL

I go like twice a year. I usually end up spending $600-$800 each time. I'm married, so even if they notice, I can't do anything about it.

during the good deals-august and march, and whenever else I find a good deal. My brother worked at bloomingdales, so there basically always were deals. Best one he got was a $900 Boss Suit for $195.

I don't like to buy clothes. The most I've ever spent in a year on clothes is around $300, if even that much.

too fvck'n much.

each outfit I wear daily is atleast 165+, 🙁 (this doesnt include shoes or undergarment or socks).

You mean just clothes, not shoes/boots? If so probably less than $100 a year. I'm a T-shirt and jeans man, and I only buy more when I wear something out. My old street clothes become my new work clothes when they get scroungy. Jackets and whatnot last a while and don't get replaced very often. I guess there's not much to notice about a T-shirt and jeans.

It's totally random. Most of the time I'm a cheapskate; I wear t-shirts and jeans 90% of the time. The most expensive clothes I use regularly are dress boots (because they sorta hide the annoying fact that you can't buy off-the-rack pants long enough to fit someone of normal height) and those run $60-$120 at the discount clothes places I go to (factory outlet stores, Nordstrom's Rack, etc.).

Got a large collection of suits, tuxedos, and assorted formal wear, but I don't buy it very often. (A lot of my dressier wardrobe bits are movie leftovers that I got to keep; so you could count those as "free" or just an added job perk.)

Maybe once a year I'll get the urge to pick up something interesting (e.g., leather trenchcoats and jackets) and that kind of thing probably accounts for about half my annual budget. All told, I'd guess it's in the $1,000-$1,500 range.

(People certainly do respond to how I dress, but I'm not sure if that was what you were asking.)

I have no idea but I know it's not much. There is no dress code here at work so I don't need to maintain a wardrobe as I used to have to do. Jeans, t-shirts, shorts, sneakers, tank tops, etc... are all acceptable here. I only buy new clothes to replace items that are worn out.

LOL, you sound like my brother now that he's a married man.

I am completely random at buying clothes, just whenever I feel like it, maybe ~$100 every 2 to 3 months or so.

Well, I'm a guy, but I am the same way. My strategy:

I buy things in groups.

Needs socks...buy new ones (12 pair atleast) and toss the old ones.
Same thing with underwear,etc

With pants, if I need some new ones, I find one style that fits and buy 3-4 different colors.

Works great. And always stuff that is on sale. My recent concurring. BOught 12 pair of dress socks for $9.99. They normally go for $10 for a 3 pack!

approx 120 bucks on shoes (i hope last more then 1 year)
approx 20-30 bucks a shirt
approx ~30-40 bucks for pants

i just started work, clothes are expensive, but i try not to spend more then what i listed above

thats the way it ends up most of the time. and im glad.

she even washes them for me.

I live an atypical life then. I pick my own clothes. And laundry is my chore. I don't mind though, I'd rather not do dishes. 😛

Not including the occasional pair of shoes, I'd say $200-300/year. I spend as little as possible and only buy them when mrs nags me too.
