How much is it one way or roundtrip?
Is it reimbursed by your firm?

I generally fill up my tank once per week -- it is around $45 or so to do that at current prices. So, roughly $9/day or $4.50 per one way ride. My wife and I carpool (she works down the street from me), so that's the price for both of us. It is not reimbursed and obviously I am not factoring in standard maintenance or insurance (we have no car payments; both are paid off).

You should be lucky to have a job with your sh*t attitude, apparently you've been fired from a ton of them, so quit complaining.

This. He can't seem to figure out the real reason he can't find jobs more easily, even though it is pretty obvious.

Spend about 2 calories. Just walk downstairs to home office.

Ya got me beat!
Sheesh, I gotta walk like 20 yds. to the barn!
Wife makes me breakfast while I'm feeding cattle, so I guess you could say I am somewhat reimbursed.

The company pays for the vehicle, but it is considered a taxable benefit for me to use it to and from work. This works out to about $18 / work day for use of the vehicle.

About $50-60 a week. Not too bad since I don't own a car and thats about 90% of my total transportation cost.

As a consultant it depends.

If I have to drive to the office it's 30 miles each way. Going to a client could be anywhere from 20 miles to 100 since they're all over the place. I get reimbursed for mileage when going to a client site equal to the distance to the client minus distance to the office.

However, much of the time I get to work from home.
