Insert Hank Hill reference here.

I have Amerigas, which might be the worst company I've ever had to regularly deal with. The only non-electrical heating I have is a propane fireplace, so I haven't ordered any in a while. I go to see the prices and I'm greeted with this:

All in we're talking over $1,000 to fill my 250 gallon tank. This seems absurd to me, so I want to ask, what are you guys paying?

For residential (large tanks) like yours, I have no idea. IIRC, I pay about $2.50/gallon to fill my 5 gallon BBQ bottles.

Just got 3 tanks filled. $1.649 a gallon.
54845 zipcode.

Buying a tank at for garage at my new house, going to pay $1.99/gallon for the fill.
55810 zipcode.

Propane is very region dependant on pricing.

I just filled the tank yesterday - at the current exchange rates 2.13 USD per gallon

there's government subsidies on fuel in the Dominican Republic, price for LPG is fixed.....one of the reasons this side of the island is still very green and tree covered
-
Under the program, subsidies will reduce the cost of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by RD$9.45 per gallon, regular diesel by RD$16.06, and premium diesel by RD$15.82. “Although we’re seeing some signs of stabilization internationally, geopolitical, economic and trade pressures continue to push energy prices upward,” Pérez Fermín said, underscoring the government’s commitment to consumer protection.
Retail pump prices for the coming week remain largely unchanged. Premium gasoline will stay at RD$290.10 per gallon, and regular gasoline at RD$272.50. Regular diesel holds at RD$224.80, while premium diesel remains RD$242.10. Jet fuel (Avtur) and kerosene will see modest drops—RD$2.60 and RD$2.70 per gallon, respectively—bringing them to RD$193.25 and RD$224.90. Fuel oil #6 will climb RD$2.47 to RD$163.00, and fuel oil 1%S will rise RD$3.40 to RD$174.25. LPG remains fixed at RD$137.20 per gallon, and natural gas at RD$43.97 per cubic meter.

I don't use propane much but from what I've heard it is in fact very expensive now. Was talking with someone that heats with oil and that's expensive too and suggested they look into propane but they said it's just as expensive.

Natural gas is higher too now, it about doubled in 2022 here which is why I ended up installing a wood stove. I think it did go back down slightly at some point though but not back to 2022 level. Even that was higher than pre 2020. Pretty much everything goes up more than it goes down.

I added 1kw of solar as part of my fire wood shelter, need to finish connecting that up and setup logic to transfer loads over to solar. I could run my whole server rack off solar during the day and I'd save lot of money on hydro there. I already managed to bring my natural gas bill down to under $100/mo with the wood stove.

My fireplace is sealed, it would be way cheaper to use even premium gasoline to run it. It's crazy how little some folks are paying though - I guess living in an area that doesn't really produce hydrocarbons has its drawbacks. I live in the lead belt, hopefully that's at least cheap here.
