How much do you pay for license and registration in your state?

Car: Acura Integra
Year: 1991
State: Minnesota
Cost: $40/year

My cousin has a 98 4-door Accord and he's paying $100/year in the same state. Does it matter on what type of car? My mom has a 98 2-door Accord coupe and she's only paying $40.

In Maryland everyone pays $81 for their car registration. Usaully license and registration fees are the same for everyone in the state. There must be special circumstances surrounding the $100 fee. Perhaps his county has a some special tax?

$29.50 per year in Virginia. Then again, we also have a personal property tax which is somewhere along the lines of being phased out and we pay on about 30% of the vehicle rate for that tax.

We live in the same county. I'm not quite sure why his would be higher. It's not like insurance where they can zap ya with higher premiums because of traffic violations. Even if that was the case, he doesn't have any speeding tickets or accidents.

In Oregon, it's a $50 flat fee every 2 years.

It was $30 every 2 years up until last year, but they just raised it to help pay for a new $2 billion highway restoration project.

$20 for the tag registration and another $300+ for ad valorem taxes on my '01 Accord V6. Yeah we get raped here in GA on our cars. I guess it makes up for having the cheapest gas prices in the nation.

My '04 Mazda 3 is approximately $320 a year.

Booo! I'd rather pay $.15 more a gallon like IL and space it out over a year then take one huge punch to the gut every year at my Birthday.

I paid $380 but was refunded $200 of it. Apparantly my Dakota (see link below) is a commercial vehicle.
