Do you care about what professional athletes make too?

I only care when you overpay A guy like Jay Cutler and destroy your team cap wise for a few seasons :)

your going off topic btw.

The thread is about why people care about what a janitor makes.

There is very little accountability at the CEO level. If your company is found guilty of any wrongdoing does a CEO get anything other than a golden parachute?

In the 20s CEOs were taken out of board rooms in handcuffs. Now they fly off in private jets if their companies do something wrong.

If a CEO commits a fraud or other criminal act they will be hauled out in handcuffs. Running a business into the ground is not a criminal offense.

i Dont disagree with you. I am still waiting for a CEO to go to jail for the financial meltdown...

creating shadow markets to circumvent regulation and betting against your customers used to be illegal..

Me too. This administration doesn't go after the higher ups in Wall Street.

A CEO of a private company is not the same thing as a government employee who gets paid by tax dollars.

How hard of a concept is this to grasp?
Evidently hard enough to be beyond a significant portion of the nation.

Roughly half the country feels that simply being a CEO is a criminal offense.

Nice strawman.

Yes, as an Amurica-hating libruul, I think that as soon as someone takes the position of CEO, they should be strung up and beaten to death.
