How much do you make and what do you do?

I know money is a VERY touchy subject for a lot of people, and i'm sure there will be more people that lurk this thread rather than reply, but I'm trying to see if I'm being low-balled here.

I'm a front end manager for Kmart. I've been with the company for 4 years. I'm in the highest tier of non-salaried management. I make ~25k/year. I'm 23 years old with zero college experience.

when I worked at dominos, my manager was making $50K/year + bonuses. his hours were pretty crappy, but in the end he was coming out with around $60K, and whatever tips if he decided to deliver.

I'm not sure what you should expect from Kmart.

I make a whopping $6.50/hr. I'm third key(Asisstant managers assistant manager, basically) at a little game store in a mall. I've been there for the past year. I'd probably be making 7 if I stayed on after christmas, but I'm going to quit because my college schedule is going to get more constrictive on my free time next semester. I'm 18 and a freshman in college.

edit: Oh, I know that store managers in my company make roughly 24k/year, plus bonus for meeting sales goals for the month.

I'm a "Biological Scientist" atleast that's my title though I'm pretty much a lab tech. I make ~29K which isn't bad for where I live.

God my managers were ass holes at Kmart. Half the reason why I walked out on them.

Right now I make before taxes around 26K a year doing IT work, but I'm waay underpaid, even for MI. Should be about 40K at least.

Are you serious? I'm just curious because my father-in-law had a stroke and has required a few brain surgeons lately and I was curious what they made.

$40k - Director of Information Systems

I'm an associate sys admin just across the river and I make ~$50K!

I'm working for a non-profit right now. I was making ~$30k working for a bank as their Network Specialist, and just switched to this. Hopefully this will springboard into something with a bit more pay.

You got to be kidding me right Tifababy 😉 😛

Brain Surgeon's don't make half that amount. Unless they are funded by grants from big Pharm companies.

I just did a quick search on neuro surgeon on salary.com in the Chicago suburbs and the median salary was over $330k and the 75th percentile was over $430k, so I guess I believe the $430k/yr suggested by jndietz
