I'm saving up for my wedding so it's (hopefully) going to come in handy when I sell next year. Approx. how much do you guys have in unsold stocks ? I don't play the market at all.. just did it because of company plan/discount.

umm sounds like you are not rolling in money.

I'd forget about any lavish wedding.

Save the dough....you'll need it.

I'm up to $21k right now... another 8 months to go (chinese weddings are expensive as all hell) ... sadly only a few K of that is from profit. Damn market. At least it helped me save. Tax is going to suck.

No sweat from the amout of money I'm going to spend on the wedding though... I hear we usually make most of it back.

~40K in Large Cap Mutuals, ~40K in Mid Cap Mutuals, ~10K in bonds, and ~x amount divied between Microsoft, Coca-Cola, and IBM.

Zilch. I cleared everything out over the last few years (only a few K) related to moving and what not. I currently am growing both of our 401ks at a decent rate and recently started a savings. Once it hits $5k in a little while I'll stop depositing to it and leave it in ingdirect at the 2% return and instead take my monthly auto-deductions and put them back into the market in some form (yet to be determined what, though obviously it will be an index or mutual fund).
