The same issue came up numerous times for XBOX 360 auctions last year. Incredible numbers of new users who were either 1) scammers or 2) pissed off consumers or 3) bored kids.

no wonder we see so many fvcking "i think i got scammed" or "is this a scam threads" on here. no one know how to use ebay.

The price should drop a bit after release, not go up IMO.

I doubt it, they are oly releasing 400,000 units.

Initially there will only be 400,000 units, but Sony plans to release 1,000,000 by the end of the year. This probably means there will be about 800,000 units by Christmas. Remember the laws of supply and demand? Prices a peaking now because supply has completely stagnated at 400,000. After release that changes.

And we should believe Sony's number claims why again?

it has more higher feedback people but its loaded with low feedback people.

My wife just watched one auction end at just over $5000. It looks like the amounts are trending steadily upwards as we get closer to launch. Most are selling for over $2000.
All that tells us is that your wife is an eBay n00b too.

We shouldn't, that's why I lowered the estimate from 1,000,000 to 800,000.

Looks like the winning bid my wife saw withdrew their bid (had a positive rating of only 3 but that is better than most eBay Fakes). The new winning bidder is obviously a fake.
