How much do cemetary plots typically cost?

According to Craigslist: $2500 and up (including vault) in Phoenix. Getting buried in a town named Phoenix seems kind of weird though.

Cemetery plots are quite expensive in LA. They're a type of real estate, so the prices are affected by all the same factors as a home and they cost a lot more when purchased for immediate burial. Some can go for 20k dollars.

I don't mean to thread crap but I fail to see the attraction of modern burial practice. They embalm your body, so that it takes forever to decay; stick you in an elaborate wooden coffin that no one is ever going to see after the funeral; and then put that wooden box inside a concrete box. What's the point?

that's just your personal opinion.
I happen to agree with it, but some people want their carcasses to be around until the end of time. /shrug
