Like liquor bottles and cans. Last I checked, beer bottles go for about $0.10 here, 750 ml wine bottles are about $0.20, some really big and fancy bottles are maybe $0.50? Four boxes of 2-4s would be 96 x $0.10 = $9.60 -- pretty heavy to haul, even on wheels.

I see mainly elderly people going around with carts hauling garbage bags full of bottles and tall boys. One guy, I've seen, goes around in the middle of the night to beat the crowd. Others I've seen rustling through garbage bins throughout the day.

Anyone try doing this or know someone who does? What are people making?

Got one local Mexican family with a monopoly. Kid in his 20's + 2 older ladies trolling the various neighborhoods for cans and delivers to what looks like the husband/father in a truck. They have a ton of cans everyday.

Anywhere from $600 to $900 per day, depending on the hours they want to put in and the locale. $200,000 a year is not uncommon. Saw a guy the other day loading up his Escalade from a dumpster behind a bowling alley.
