so I'm using a 25 watt amd athlon4 cpu for a little machine i use for recording stuff and downloading.

I'm thinking about getting a 35watt mobile barton.

what I would like to know is how much more electricity the 25 watt one would use. say i leave it on 24/7.

and how much more heat it'll produce. the 25 watt cpu is Paly, and it's running at high 40s right now. it'll probably hit 50s ones I put the sides back on.

fyi: using a matx nforce2 mobo with mcp-t, vcore adjustments. lowest = 1.3. ALX800 with a low rpm fan.

thanks.

Electricity use will be basically nothing minimal. One kilowatt-hour of electricity is somewhere around 10 cents in the US. 10 watts is nothing compared to 1 kilowatt. As for temps, I haven't messed around with my mobile barton for long, but between undervolting to 1.25V and leaving it at 1.35V (35W) default, the temp difference seems to be under 3ºC case and CPU.
